LOVE IS NOT A CRIME / 2019
For the third consecutive year, Scoop Models, Won Hundred and Amnesty International have joined forces to launch a t-shirt to focus on how dangerous it is to be a LGBTI+ person in many parts of the world.
Being a LGBTI+ person in several parts of the world can still be fatal. In eight countries, including Iran, Sudan and Saudi Arabia, one is at risk of death penalty for having sex with a person of the same sex, while 63 other countries punish homosexuality with everything from fines to imprisonment.
Countries such as Chechnya and Uganda are notorious for their systematic persecution of LGBTI+ people, but also in Europe, there are still problems. For example, Lithuania has a law banning
so-called "gay propaganda for children" with the argument that it is "an attack on traditional family values". For example, the law is used to prevent LGBTI+ organizations from carrying out information work.
This year’s campaign is shot by the London based photographer Greg Lin Jiajie. His work appears on VOGUE, I-D GQ and many more.
Talented Kevin Pfaff did art direction and set design and worked closed with Sune Palner who was the creative director of the project. Together they did the concept of a demonstration fighting for LGBTI+ rights.
Maya Paustian, Gitte Guldhammer and Stine Rasmussen, did an amazing styling and doing hair and makeup in a way, that shows the models personalities, while finding their inner riots. All taking place at Copenhagen based studio, The Lab.
All film and Instagram session shot by Peter Vintergaard.
Facts: The T-shirt will cost 35 EU and launches on 29 July 2019.
